MARKS Medical College Hospital Becomes Three-Year Healthcare Partner of Bangladesh Squash Rackets Federation

by Bangladesh in Focus

MARKS Medical College Hospital Ltd has signed a three-year deal to become the healthcare partner of the Bangladesh Squash Rackets Federation, giving the country’s squash players and officials a stronger safety net for medical support. The agreement was signed at the army headquarters conference room in Dhaka, where leaders from both sides formalized the partnership in front of federation president Maj Gen Hasan Uz Zaman. Under the deal, MARKS Medical College Hospital Ltd will provide full healthcare services to players, coaches, officials, and other connected members of the federation. That support is expected to be especially useful for squash players, including those from less privileged backgrounds, who may find it harder to access quick and reliable care. The federation will also offer visibility in return, including use of the company logo on banners and related event materials. Beyond medical support, the partnership also links to the sport’s development work. MARKS Group will sponsor a major part of the upcoming WSF Level-2 Coaching Course, which is scheduled to run from April 20 to 25. That step can help strengthen coaching skills and support the long-term growth of squash in Bangladesh by giving coaches more training opportunities. For a fast and demanding sport like squash, access to proper healthcare matters a great deal. Players often need quick treatment for injuries, recovery help, and regular medical advice to stay in shape for training and competition. A formal healthcare partner can make that process easier and more organized, while also giving athletes more confidence that medical help will be available when needed. The agreement also shows how sports groups and private organizations can work together in practical ways. One side brings access to medical services, while the other offers a network of athletes, events, and community reach. That kind of cooperation can support both player welfare and sport development at the same time. With this new partnership, the Bangladesh Squash Rackets Federation is taking a clear step toward better care for its members and stronger support for future coaching programs. The deal may also help create a more stable base for squash in the country, where health, training, and teamwork can all move forward together.
