Dr. Shayokh Ahmad is a seasoned corporate leader, management consultant, trainer, and academic with over 25 years of professional experience across the financial services, telecommunications, automotive, tourism, mobile devices, real estate, and aviation industries.
He began his career with ANZ Grindlays Bank (now Standard Chartered Bank) in 1998 and has since held senior leadership positions at Prime Financial Group, Hong Kong-based GSP Finance, Warid Telecom (now Airtel), RahimAfrooz Group, Shanta Group, BTI Group, and US-Bangla Group. Drawing on his extensive industry expertise, he now provides management consulting services, conducts corporate training programs, and serves as an Adjunct Faculty member at BRAC University.
Dr. Ahmad earned his Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) and Master of Business Administration (MBA) from North South University in 1999 and 2001, respectively. In 2023, he completed his Doctor of Business Administration (DBA) at the European Institute of Applied Science and Management (EIASM), Prague, Czech Republic. He has also completed an Executive Diploma and numerous professional certification programs in Germany, the United States, Australia, India, and Bangladesh.
An Accredited Project Manager and internationally certified Career Coach, Dr. Ahmad has made significant contributions to professional and leadership development. He was a founding national member of Junior Chamber Bangladesh and AIESEC Bangladesh. In addition, he has extensive exposure to both print and electronic media and has served as the Chief Editor of the International Journal of Career Development since 2018.
Beyond his professional commitments, Dr. Ahmad is passionate about travel and has visited 35 countries across six continents. His interests include reading, writing, coaching, and golf. He currently serves as Chairman of Khidmat and as a Trustee of Hands in Need, a charitable organization dedicated to community welfare and humanitarian service.

Greetings,
I am Kabir Qureshi, and I am proud to share a little about myself and the vision behind Bangladesh inFocus. Born and raised in London, my professional career has been deeply grounded in the UK’s land, real estate, construction and building materials procurement sectors.
Over the years, I’ve gained valuable insights into market dynamics, investment strategies, and property development. I also serve as the Chief Investment Officer at Hedge Capital Partners, where I focus on managing investments and creating long-term value for our stakeholders.
Though my career has predominantly revolved around the UK and global real estate markets, I’ve always kept a close eye on emerging markets, particularly Bangladesh. I’ve been especially fascinated by how far the country has come, given its history.
During the Bangladesh Liberation War in 1971, U.S. Secretary of State Henry Kissinger famously described the country as a “basket case,” reflecting its struggle for development. This term evolved over time, symbolizing the immense challenges Bangladesh faced in the 70s and 80s.
However, I firmly believe that Bangladesh is now at a pivotal moment. Fast forward to 2025, and we witness inspiring success stories. One such example is Youngone Corporation, founded in 1974 by Kihak Sung. Starting from humble beginnings, he transformed his company into a powerful conglomerate.
His remarkable achievements recently earned him Bangladesh citizenship, highlighting his significant contributions to the nation.
With the right leadership, strategic investments, and a focus on sustainable growth, I’m confident that Bangladesh has the potential to emerge as one of South Asia’s leading economies. This belief is what led me to establish Bangladesh inFocus, a platform dedicated to providing in-depth analysis, business insights, and success stories emerging from Bangladesh.
Our mission is to offer accurate, timely information about the country’s business landscape, while also showcasing the incredible opportunities across sectors like technology, manufacturing, agriculture, and more.
I believe that Bangladesh is on the right track—its growing middle class, vibrant youth population, and increasing global integration make it poised for significant economic and social advancements.
