Prime Bank and Selise Partner to Offer Staff Exclusive Payroll Banking Benefits

by Bangladesh in Focus

Prime Bank PLC and Selise Bangladesh Limited have signed a payroll banking agreement that will give Selise staff a set of exclusive banking benefits and easier access to financial services. The deal was signed at Prime Bank’s corporate office in Dhaka by Md Asif Bin Idrish, SEVP and head of emerging market at Prime Bank, and Julian Andrin Weber, managing director of Selise Bangladesh Limited, with senior officials from both organisations joining the ceremony. Under the agreement, employees of Selise will receive benefits such as a dual-currency debit card, customised loan and credit card facilities, and a range of consumer banking products and services on preferential terms. This offer aims to make banking simpler for staff who work across borders and need quick access to funds. Payroll banking can help workers get their pay on time, set up savings plans, and apply for small loans with clear rules. Prime Bank says the scheme is part of its drive to support tech firms and to offer products that fit the needs of modern employees. The bank’s payroll team, branch network leaders, and relationship managers will work with Selise to make sure the sign up process is smooth and that staff can learn how to use their new accounts and cards. Officials attending included Md Enamul Kabir, EVP and regional head of branch distribution network; Mohammed Zubaer, VP and team head of emerging market; HM Mamun, AVP and relationship manager, emerging market; Hasina Fardous, VP and head of payroll banking; and Md Reaz Ahmad, head of admin and company secretary for Selise, as well as Kazi Adnan Raihan, principal admin manager of Selise. Both organisations plan to review how the programme works and to make improvements based on staff feedback. The new arrangement is expected to help Selise attract and keep skilled workers by offering clear banking perks and easy access to loans and cards. For employees, the dual currency debit card can make travel and online purchases easier, while customised loans and credit options can support housing, study, and small business goals. The partnership also shows how banks and tech companies can work together to design practical services for staff and to make business life smoother. Prime Bank will provide training and customer service support so that employees can handle digital banking tools safely and with confidence. In time, the payroll banking deal may lead to more tailored services for other firms in the tech sector and beyond, as companies see the value of linking payroll with useful banking products. The ceremony closed with a note of cooperation and a plan to monitor results, help staff use the services, and build a financial link between the bank and Selise employees.
