Bangladesh Showcases Apparel Strength at Texworld Paris to Win More European Fashion Buyers

by Bangladesh in Focus

Bangladesh’s textile and apparel industry is stepping into the global spotlight as the country showcases its strength at Texworld Paris, one of the world’s biggest sourcing shows for fashion buyers and brands. At the busy exhibition halls, Bangladesh is highlighted as a major textile hub alongside other leading suppliers, with a colourful national pavilion that invites visitors to discover fabrics, denim, knitwear, and ready-made garments all in one place. A total of 30 Bangladeshi companies are taking part, including 18 apparel manufacturers under the Export Promotion Bureau pavilion, seven firms with their own stands, and five direct exhibitors. Well-known names such as Aaron Denim of Mab Group, NZ Denim, H&F Fashion, Uniwear Sourcing, Clover Design & Sourcing, Bengal Glory, Siraj Apparels, and Rahmat Knit Wear are meeting buyers, showing new collections, and holding talks about long-term partnerships. The event brings together more than a thousand exhibitors from dozens of countries, giving Bangladeshi producers a strong international stage to prove that they can deliver quality, scale, and innovation at the same time. At the heart of the action is the Bangladesh Pavilion, inaugurated by the country’s ambassador to France, Khondker M Talha, who was joined by officials from the embassy, the commerce ministry, and the Export Promotion Bureau. In conversations with visitors, they are stressing how the industry has invested in safer factories, greener technology, and better compliance so that global brands can source with confidence. As the world’s second-largest exporter of ready-made garments, Bangladesh already plays a key role in dressing consumers across the European Union, which is the main destination for its apparel and textile exports. France alone is one of the top markets, with shipments worth around 2.5 billion dollars, and more than nine-tenths of that total coming from clothing and textile products. Exhibitors say Texworld is a perfect place to deepen ties with French and European buyers, explore new product lines such as value-added fashion items, and position Bangladesh as a reliable partner for sustainable sourcing. The program is being utilized to showcase innovative denim treatments, sustainable and recycled materials, contemporary design workshops, and manufacturing facilities that operate on cleaner energy or adhere to rigorous environmental guidelines. Industry representatives hope that strong orders from the fair will support jobs back home, encourage fresh investment in technology, and help the sector move further up the value chain. Exhibitors are confident that steady participation in global fairs will drive new investment, create better jobs, and encourage more factories to train young workers in modern machines, design, and digital tools everywhere.
