Bangladesh actively participated in a significant informal trilateral meeting with China and Pakistan in Kunming, signaling a proactive approach to strengthening regional cooperation and charting a course for shared prosperity. Held on the sidelines of the 9th China-South Asia Exposition and the 6th China-South Asia Cooperation meeting, this dialogue underscored Bangladeshโs commitment to collaborative initiatives that promote peace and development across the region. The main goal of the meeting was to encourage a strong sharing of opinions regarding possible cooperation among the three parties. Discussions were rooted in principles of mutual trust, understanding, and a collective vision for achieving peace, stability, and enhanced prosperity across the involved nations. The Bangladeshi delegation, led by Md. Ruhul Alam Siddique, engaged constructively with counterparts Sun Weidong from China and Imran Ahmed Siddiqui from Pakistan, laying groundwork for future collaborative endeavors. A wide array of critical areas was identified for deeper cooperation, reflecting a comprehensive approach to regional development.
