Bangladesh is working hard to bring more sunshine into homes and businesses, not just for light, but for power! Our country is facing big energy challenges, especially with hot weather and a growing need for electricity. But instead of just relying on old ways, Bangladesh is now looking up to the sun to solve these problems. This big move towards solar energy is helping us build a stronger, greener future for everyone. Think about all the tall buildings, schools, and offices in Bangladesh. Soon, many of them will have shiny solar panels on their roofs, catching sunlight and turning it into clean electricity. Our government has made a strong plan: they want all government buildings, from ministries to schools, to have these special panels. This is a huge step! It shows how serious we are about using the sun’s power. This big plan isn’t just for government buildings. Bangladesh wants to get much more of its electricity from clean sources like the sun. Right now, about 5.6 out of every 100 parts of our electricity comes from clean energy. But by 2030, the goal is to get 20 parts from clean energy, and by 2040, even more! This means a future where our energy comes from nature, not just from burning things that can harm our air. To make sure this works well, the government is getting help from private companies. They are inviting businesses to set up and take care of the rooftop solar panels. This is a smart idea because private companies often have special skills to keep things running smoothly. This way, we can be sure the solar panels work for a long time and help us keep the lights on. Besides rooftop panels, big new solar power plants are also being planned. The government is getting ready to build 55 new solar power plants across the country. These plants will be much bigger than rooftop panels and will make a lot of electricity for many homes and businesses. Imagine vast fields of solar panels, quietly making power and helping our country grow. This shift to solar energy is really important for Bangladesh. We have many people, and everyone needs power. By using solar, we can avoid power shortages and make sure our country has enough energy, even during hot summer days when air conditioners are working hard. This exciting step towards solar power is making Bangladesh a leader in clean energy and helping us create a better, brighter future for generations to come.
